About the Downeast Spiritual Life Conference
In order to thrive in today’s challenging times, it is more important than ever to have a spiritual life that inspires and endows all of us with a sense of meaning and purpose.
Whether you consider yourself a follower of a particular religious tradition, a seeker of inspiration where it lies, or you are simply interested in how others approach the life of spirit, this conference will offer you the opportunity to gain skills and understanding, which can enrich your life and the lives of those around you.
The conference is organized and sponsored (in part) by St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church in Blue Hill, Maine, as part of its Spiritual Life & Learning Center.
The 2014 Conference: July 11-12, 2014, Castine, Maine
Our commitment is to provide opportunities for you to engage with world-class leaders in the area of spiritual transformation. In 2014, poet, peacemaker and scholar John Philip Newell will be with us. Newell, an acclaimed authority on Celtic spirituality, will lead a weekend retreat focused on the new harmony between the spirit, the earth and the human soul as we look to rebirth the Divine.
Mark your calendars for July 11-12, 2014. Join us on the campus of the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. This lovely venue provides very reasonable accommodations and a wonderful coastal village to walk around and get to know.
