Meals at the Schoodic Institute

NOTE:  After Friday, July 7, the Schoodic Institute will no longer accept meal reservations. In addition, the Institute will only accept phone requests for lodging. Please call 207-288-1337 or 207-288-1356. Rooms will be on an “as available” basis. 

Most of the lodging options at the Schoodic Institute are equipped with kitchens where you may bring and prepare your own food. However, the Institute also offers flexible meal options that you can tailor to your needs by selecting specific meals for a fixed price. Meals are in the Schoodic Commons dining hall. Please note that there is an 8% Maine state dining tax.

Meal options include:

  • Breakfast — $12/person/day
  • Lunch (dining hall or a bag lunch to take out) — $16/person/day
  • Dinner — $22.50/person/day
  • Cook-out — $22.50/person

NOTE:  All meal plans must be purchased by July 7. It is not possible to change your mind and purchase meals at a later time. Please notify the hospitality staff if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences.

CANCELLATIONS: Meal cancellations are subject to the Schoodic Institute’s cancellation policy. The deadline for canceling lodging or meals is Friday, July 7. The Schoodic Institute will refund your payment minus a 10% bookkeeping fee (10% of your total amount). Any refunds will be processed by the Schoodic Institute and returned to you by check. Refunds must be requested in writing no later than Friday, July 7. There are no refunds after July 7.

Bonfire & Drum Circle
Schoodic Institute Pavilion

Close the day with joy and celebration and share with others what you’ve learned and experienced from your time together. An outdoor cook-out, bonfire and a spiritual drumming experience with Todd Glacy will connect you with each other and the natural world all around you. The drumming session will be around a bonfire and begin after the cookout. The menu includes standard outdoor BBQ fare; however, a vegetarian option will be available.

Note: Meal tickets for the cook-out had to be ordered by July 7. The cost is $22.50/person. You also may bring your own food. If you plan to invite a non-conference attendee as a guest, tickets must also be purchased by July 7.

How to Reserve Lodging & Meals After Friday, July 7
